News Distribution announced that it will be doing the worldwide exclusive vinyl distribution for Turbo Recordings. After a brief hiatus in 2005 while label-head Tiga took time out to release Sexor, Turbo re-launched in 2006, recruiting Oliver Interactive to manage International Business Affairs and Thomas Von Party to scout fresh talent.
The last two years have seen a lot of growth with original Turbo-signings Chromeo achieving mainstream success, Russian Rave-czar Proxy rising to star status, and consistently strong 12 inch releases – from the crossover-techno of Popof to the bleep-mayhem of ZZT – creating new trends in dance music.
2009 will be a breakout year for Turbo with an ambitious subscription-based website, a new distribution partner, as well as music from outstanding artists and producers.
