Given the success of Katerine‘s version of Ayo Technology, the record company has decided to release a video for the song, which is a mixture of old and new material. Tell us what you think!

Remeber Gala ? She sang Freed From Desire and Let The Boy Cry. And now she’s back with a new album. You can see a preview of the first song Tough Love on myspace.

What a great weekend for Belgian dance: both Lasgo and Sylver are currently in the top 10 of the mainstream singles chart. Lasgo moved up to the number 5 slot and Sylver rose to number 8 in its second week. What’s more, Lasgo is still doing well in the volatile dance charts at number 3. Check out our Lasgo and Sylver artist profiles to see their latest videos!

We already reported that 2 Fabiola would release a 2009 version of their smash hit Lift U Up and yesterday we showed you the video of the promo stunt by Pat Krimson. The record company now informed us that the CD single and digital download of Lift U Up 2009 will be released next Monday, March 30 on the Milkshake label (a bit earlier than the 1st of April mentioned on the site). What’s more, Dancevibes was already able to listen to the full radio edit and extended version of Lift U Up 2009.  Those expecting a quick rehash of the original are up for a little surprise, seeing that the 2009 version is quite different. The old lyrics have been mixed into a new beat, which is a bit slower than the original, and a lot of new vocals have been added, giving the track an entirely different vibe. Given the huge success of everything 90ies related, we expect 2 Fabiola to attract a lot of attention again with this revamped classic (and make some new fans in the progress).

You can listen to part of the track on this website.

We have updated the Zippora artist page and have added lots of clips. Check it out !

Good news for Lasgo, the single Gone moves up from the number 8 to the number 5 position in the Ultratop 50. But also good news for fans, seeing that you can win a signed vinyl on the Newsrecords site.

Here in Belgium, Katerine is mostly known for her up-tempo dance tracks (Here Come All The Boys, Shut Your Mouth …read the review of her latest album Overdrive on dancevibes), but in Poland she scores a top 10 hit with a cover of Ayo Technology she recorded in less than half an hour for the Dance Hits 4 Kidz compilation album. Katerine did this as a favour to her record company and didn’t even want her name on the album. But her name was mentioned on the Polish RMF Fm Najlepsza Muzyka Na Wiosne 2009 album, someone picked it up and the rest is history.

Remember the great singles Lotus Eater and See the sun by Zippora? They were Belgian dance at its very best. On now we are extremely happy that Zippora is back in the studio with Carlos Meire (2 Unlimited – Twilight Zone). She is not only writing new lyrics, but is also co-producing the new music. Let’s hope this results in an official new single and perhaps an album?
